About Osteopathy
WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY? Osteopathy is a leading practice for utilising the bodies natural and scientifically proven healing strength. Although to many Osteopathy may sound the same as a Chiropractor or a Physio therapist it is different in many ways. In Osteopathy the belief is that your structure governs function and function governs structure. The way you sit, walk, rest, work and play all decide on what your body structure and functions will be. This makes sense to us and so we recommend Osteopathy. An Osteopath treats illnesses which affect bone, tissue, nerve and muscle related illnesses. In fact anything to do with pain in any area can be treated by an Osteopath including feet and the scull which in medicine are seen as specialist areas. Typical problems treated:- - Back pain
- Headaches
- Spinal problems
- Arthritic conditions
- Joint problems
- Sports injuries
- Repetitive Strain Injuries
- Postural problems (including pregnancy)
- Childhood problems
