PRACTITIONER PROFILE: Yoga at Pilates Plus+ is taught by Anna Redway
Anna teaches dynamic hatha which is a form of yoga that connects traditional poses to create a flowing sequence. Continuous movement combined with a steady flow of breath creates heat and intensity. This heat promotes flexibility and detoxification.
Classes are available for all levels and ages, from gentle beginners classes to more challenging intermediate levels.
Anna initially trained as a yoga teacher in the United States in 2003 and has gone on to study with Shiva Rea and Angela Farmer. Having studied anatomy and physiology at degree level, Anna's teaching focusses on the precise alignment of the body.

The word Yoga means union, union between mind, body and spirit. There are eight main limbs in Yoga. One of them is Asana or physical postures. the physical postures of Yoga work on increasing the flexibility and the strength of the body. The postures can be completed quickly in a sequence to increase the body's temperature or they can be completed slowly to work on precision and improving the bodies posture. The benefits of learning Yoga are increasing the flexibility of the muscles, the movement of the joints, improving strength and balance, promoting better breathing and last but not least relieving stress and helping you to relax.
